Kingston: bring more troops, missions to Stewart

After President Barack Obama’s historic stop in Savannah on his White House to Main Street tour Tuesday, Rep. Jack Kingston commented on a letter he planned to give the President on the flight back to Washington D.C.

Kingston said he could not release the letter to the press before handing it to the president, but stressed it will urge President Obama to immediately bring "more missions" and additional soldiers to Fort Stewart.

GeorgiaForward has announced that the 2025 Youth Placemaking Grant has been presented to the City of Pembroke Mayor’s Youth Council. The $500 grant, awarded to the city, will support a youth-led public placemaking project designed to foster creativity, community connection, and civic pride among young residents.
