Interstate lane closures continue

Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout the area this week. As a result, drivers can expect lane closures through Friday.

Closure schedules may change due to weather or other factors.

Lane closures by county are scheduled as follows:

 

Chatham County

I-95 northbound between mileposts 101 and 102 – from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday there will be single- or double-lane closures for bridge rehabilitation work.

 

I-516 eastbound and westbound between I-16 and US 80 – from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Thursday, continuing through May 4, drivers should expect delays for bridge rehabilitation work.

 

I-95 northbound between mileposts 103 and 104 (Pipe Makers Bridge) – there will be continuous double-lane closures with a traffic shift that will remain in place for 20 days.

 

 Liberty County

I-95 Exit 76 southbound off ramp then Exit 67 northbound off ramp – from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday-Sunday, continuing through May 12, there will be nightly lane closures and detours in place while the existing concrete on the ramps is replaced.
