Highway 280 between Groover Hill Road and Olive Branch Road
was shut down for hours Thursday night as authorities investigated an incident
in which a man was shot by a state law enforcement officer during a chase that
began when the man’s pickup struck another vehicle on 280 near the I-16 exit in
Black Creek.
