UPDATE: Due to the forecasted precipitation this weekend, I-95 North Exit 87 on-ramp weekend closures mentioned below have been rescheduled for Oct. 3 – 6 and Oct. 10 – 13 from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.
I-95 Exit 87 northbound entrance ramp complete weekend closures with detour in place are scheduled from 9 p.m., Friday, September 26 until 5 a.m., Monday, September 29 and again from 9 p.m., Friday, October 3 until 5 a.m., Monday, October 6. If weather delays work, these closures will be pushed back a weekend until work is completed.
Traffic will be detoured via US 17, SR 144 and I-95 Exit 90 on-ramp. Ramp closures are required for edge bridge beam work to be completed.
Motorists are reminded that I-95 at Exit 87 is a work zone and are advised to reduce speed and exercise extreme caution travelling through this area. Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes.
