Gallery: Richmond Hill's first MLK Parade and Celebration
IMG_6697.JPG

It felt historic. It was historic. Richmond Hill's first parade honoring Nobel prize winning civil rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was held Saturday morning.

Organized by the non-profit group Unity In the Community and co-hosted by the city of Richmond Hill, the parade and a celebration that followed in J.F. Gregory Park was both a salute to King's legacy and a reminder that his dream is still alive, and still very much worth pursuing.

More on the celebration in upcoming stories online and in Thursday's paper.
