Independence Day set the stage for more than just fireworks for one Pembroke family.

Officer James Carmany of the Bluffton Police Department said the father and son duo of Samuel Brabham and Samuel Brabham Jr. pulled up to a construction site in the city and loaded up $1,000 worth of heating and cooling air ducts and plywood sheets.

The pair was pulled over by Carmany, who traced the products to their origin and arrested the men.
