Family Promise to host 'Soul to Soul in the City' fundraiser
Soul to Soul fundraiser

Family Promise of Bryan County is slated to host its "Soul to Soul in the City" fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at Richmond Hill City Center, 520 Cedar St. At this popular annual event, organizers plan to make an exciting announcement about an initiative that will benefit the families who are supported by this local nonprofit.

The theme of the evening is community, compassion and commitment: "Together We Will Make a Difference." Guests will enjoy live entertainment and a night filled with dancing, a gourmet dinner and cocktails. This soiree also will include a large array of live and silent auction items donated by local businesses and individuals.

"Currently, there are 88 known children living in homelessness in Bryan County - our very own community. I urge area residents to join us for a spectacular night of fellowship and entertainment to benefit our mission, which focuses solely on helping local families in need," Family Promise Board Chairwoman Chris Hasson said. "A good portion of our funding for the year comes from this annual fundraiser, and we want to thank our community partners and hard-working supporters who make it all possible. We're issuing a call to other compassionate members of this community to join us in the fight to end homelessness in Bryan County."

Tickets cost $97 each, and a dedicated table for 10 is $1,500, which also includes additional perks, sponsorship benefits and special recognition. Unlimited drink cups will be sold for $20 at the event. Sponsorship opportunities are still available at various support levels, including a Diamond Sponsorship for $5,000, Platinum Sponsorship for $2,500, Gold Sponsorship for $1,000 and Silver Sponsorship for $500. All proceeds from this event benefit Family Promise of Bryan County, which works with host congregations to reduce the number of families who are separated when they fall on difficult times and find themselves homeless. The organization recognizes that poverty is a complex problem that requires a multifaceted response. Family Promise responds by integrating educational outreach, smart programming, effective policies, and the hands-on work of thousands of volunteers. They provide food, shelter and support services for homeless families, and advocate for at-risk families to prevent homelessness.
