Exercise expected to cause delays at HAAF, Fort Stewart

An installation Force Protection Exercise at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield may cause traffic delays during the week of Oct. 22 - 26, according to Fort Stewart's Public Affairs Office.

In a press release, PAO said that soldiers, family members, civilian employees and visitors "should also be aware that, as part of the exercise, suspicious activity by role playing individuals may be observed. Report suspicious activity to the Fort Stewart Military Police desk at 767-4895/2965 and Hunter Army Airfield Military Police at (315) 6133/6134.

The exercise, Stewart-Guardian 07, will validate the emergency preparedness and response of Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield. Exercises like these ensure that the installation is ready for any situation that might occur here, PAO said.

Soldiers, family Members, civilian employees and visitors should anticipate delays at installation entry points and increased emergency vehicle traffic on the installation during the exercise.
