An Ellabell man was killed June 28 in an ATV accident.

The wreck around 6:30 p.m. while Ellabell resident Quinton Fennell, 22, was driving his ATV 4-wheeler coming out of a dirt path belonging to a hunting club off Black Creek Church Road when he drove into a gate cable.

Fennell suffered a fatal injury to his neck, according to BCSD Captain Mike Maxwell.

Fennell’s brother Marcus Fennell, a passenger on the vehicle, was injured also.

Marcus Fennell survived and was transported via Life Star helicopter and was treated for serious injuries, Maxwell said.

Marcus Fennell was discharged from Memorial on Monday, according to a hospital employee.
