Early voting through June 5

Early in-person voting in the presidential preference primary as well as local, state and federal primaries began Monday and continues through June 5 in Bryan County.

 Early voting will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Richmond Hill Recreation Department gym, 508 Timber Trail Road.

Voters can also vote in person from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. 

Ballot drop boxes for absentee ballots are located at the front entrances of the Bryan County Courthouse, 151 S. College St., Pembroke, and the Bryan County Administrative Complex, 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive, Richmond Hill.

 Voters can check status of absentee ballots and more by logging on to www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Changes to US 280 and I-16 begin Friday

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will be shifting traffic into a temporary configuration on US 280/State Route (SR) 30 at the I-16 westbound roundabout. This will occur Friday, June 20, through Saturday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
