Early morning blaze burns down firefighter's home
Cause uncertain, donations sought to help victims

A Richmond Hill firefighter lost his home to fire early Friday morning.

 There were no reported injuries, but the home was destroyed.  

More on this story in Saturday's Bryan County News. In the meantime, here's a press release sent Friday afternoon from the Richmond Hill Fire Department.  

 Firefighter Michael Cooper with the Richmond Hill Fire Department lost his home and all possessions to an early morning house fire.  He and his family have need of clothes for 2 and 4 yr old males, 24 yr old sister size 14 pants and extra large shirts, mother size 24 pants an 2xl shirts, male size 36wx30l with large shirts.  Clothes donations can be dropped at the Richmond Hill Fire Station 2 located at 722 Timber Trail.  A fund in the name of Firefighter Michael Cooper has been set up at Bryan Bank and Trust.  Donations can be mailed to :
