The City of Richmond Hill’s Downtown Development Authority has planned a Drive-Thru Food Drive on Thursday, June 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at J.F. Gregory Park. The DDA plans to give a $25 gift card from a local restaurant to every vehicle that drives-thru and donates at least 10 of the needed food items.

A few weeks ago, the DDA purchased gift cards from local restaurants that were affected by COVID-19 closures and they will be given as a thank you during this food drive for donating.

“The Downtown Development Authority is delighted to have developed a plan to aid our local food banks while rewarding those who support this special food drive at a time of need for so many,” said Georgene Brazer, DDA chairman. “Please join us, support the food banks and be part of the efforts of this wonderful City to help feed the hungry in our community.”

Way Station Food Pantry and Eleos Food Pantry are in need of the following items: * Canned fruit * Cereal * Jelly * Peanut butter * Canned vegetables * Ravioli * Canned meat * Rice * Beans * Mac & cheese * Soup.
