StanChelle Patterson, granddaughter of Clarence and Ossie Belle Patterson graduated from the University of Pittsburgh on April 27. StanChelle Patterson was a dual major and finished with a bachelor of arts in rhetorical communication and a bachelor of science in business. She also obtained a minor in history during her four years at the university. She graduated with above a 3.0 grade point average while balancing other student activities. She was a freshman mentor for three years in a group called FOCUS, which helped minority freshmen become acclimated to the college environment through academic tutoring, social activities, and health awareness programs. She was also an active member of the Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association for the past three years. Patterson was also one of the student founders of the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants in the spring of 2006. In the fall of 2006 she became a member of the distinguished Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated serving as the chapter treasurer and service coordinator. Patterson is currently living in Charlotte, N.C after accepting a job offer with the Fortune 100 company Liberty Mutual.
