family resource fair 2024

Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority, Inc. (CGACAA) will hold a free Family Fun Resource Fair on Friday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Head Start Center, 6024 U.S. Highway 280 East in Pembroke. 

CGACAA encourages the public to attend this collaborative effort being held simultaneously in its nine-county service area and bringing together Coastal Georgia Area CAA’s Head Start program, a large number of community partners and supporting organizations for a day filled with children’s activities, games, prizes, community information, and resources of interest for the entire family.

 "We are immensely excited about the collective partnerships that are bringing the Family Fun Resource Fair to all of our communities,” said Tres Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority, Inc. “Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all involved as we all demonstrate a shared commitment to uplifting lives throughout the coastal area. This event truly has something for everyone — a perfect blend of information, opportunities, and fun for the entire family.” 

The Family Fun Resource Fair offers

: ▪ Children’s games, prize drawings, and fun activities for the whole family;

 ▪ Open enrollment for the free Head Start childhood education program for current and upcoming school years; 

▪ On-site job applications and interview opportunities with CGACAA and community partners; 

▪ Information on services for foster families, children with disabilities, and expectant mothers; and

 ▪ Center tours and Q&A sessions for parents interested in all programs.
