Diebold honored at RH Community Theatre meeting
Best Interim Chair Trophy to Kim Diebold.
Richmond Hill Community Theatre Chair Shannon Bocook awards the Best Interim Chair Trophy to Kim Diebold.

Newly elected Richmond Hill Community Theatre (RHCT) Chair Shannon Bocook awarded the Best Interim Chair Trophy to Kim Diebold at its June 26 annual planning meeting.

Diebold was honored for her leadership, innovation, many volunteer hours and commitment to the theatre during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On February 16, 2020 RHCT President Ashlee Farris passed away. A month later the pandemic shut down the world. In response to these tragedies, Diebold was appointed the RHCT Interim Chair.

According to the organization, Diebold implemented an impressive virtual theatre program which gave actors a platform to perform in and gave audiences a chance to watch entertaining plays from the safety of their homes. Some of the shows included "Things That Go Bump in the Night!", "Is There a Santa Claus?", "To: Mrs. Claus", and "Objection! Disorder in the Court!"

Diebold successfully partnered RHCT volunteers with the city of Richmond Hill to work in costume at the Treats for Eats Food Drive. Nearly 8,000 food items were donated to help hungry families.

She was instrumental in establishing the Ashlee Waldron Farris Thespian/Scouting Memorial Patch and awarded the Dawn Harrington Berry $500 Scholarship to one high school senior in 2020 and two high school seniors in 2021.

In addition, Diebold supervised the RHCT Day of Theatre held on June 8, 2021. Sixty Summer Camp Children attended the program and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
