Delays expected due to drainage pipe work at Belfast River Road, Harris Trail roundabout
road work-barrels

The roundabout project at Belfast River Road and Harris Trail Road is progressing to the drainage pipe installation phase. Message boards alerting motorists to the scheduled work have been placed along the roadway, cautioning that slight delays may occur.

Due to single-lane closures associated with these construction activities, short traffic delays are expected to begin this Saturday and at the following times and locations:

Dunham Marsh Trail: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.

Belfast River Road: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.

Harris Trail Road: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

The work is being done on Saturday to avoid the peak traffic times associated with weekday and school traffic. These are not full road closures; work is being done on one lane at a time, and flaggers will be in place to allow traffic from both direction to pass.
