COVID-19 update: Numbers change for Bryan County, CHD says
Coastal Health District logo

The Coastal Health District announced Saturday that Bryan County has 28 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one death as a result of the coronavirus.

Earlier, the CHD reported there were 29 cases and two deaths from COVID-19 in the county.

The change is “due to corrections of a previous errors in the database,” according to CHD spokeswoman Sally Silbermann. “The state office of epidemiology recently notified all the districts that we might see a shift in some of the numbers as they go back through the database and use geolocation to match addresses to counties. Some entries that had been manually entered into the wrong county are shifting to the correct county of residence.”

Here are the latest numbers from the CHD, which provides updates twice daily.

As of 12 p.m., April 11th, there are 263 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 7 deaths.

Cases by county:

  • Bryan: 28 cases, 1 death
  • Camden: 20 cases
  • Chatham: 142 cases, 5 deaths
  • Effingham: 20 cases, 1 death
  • Glynn: 33 cases
  • Liberty: 16 cases
  • Long: 1 cases
  • McIntosh: 3 cases
