Bryan County COVID-19 cases confirmed by the Coastal Health District at 3 p.m. Wednesday:

 Cases last two weeks: 860 

Confirmed cases total: 5,784

 Total population: 39,137

 Cases per 100K: 14,779

 Cases per 100K last two weeks: 2,197 

Deaths: 65 confirmed, 13 probable

 Hospitalizations: 349

Bryan County Schools COVID-19 numbers for Jan. 10-14:

* Elementary schools (6): 111 positive students/staff out of 5,358 total population in six schools, a ratio of .020.

• Middle schools (2): 37 positive students/staff out of a total population of 2,668 in two schools, a .013 positivity ratio.

• High schools (2): 96 positive students/staff out of a population of 3,417 at two high schools, a .028 ratio.

Pembroke Mayor's Youth Council earns grant from Georgia nonprofit

GeorgiaForward has announced that the 2025 Youth Placemaking Grant has been presented to the City of Pembroke Mayor’s Youth Council. The $500 grant, awarded to the city, will support a youth-led public placemaking project designed to foster creativity, community connection, and civic pride among young residents.
