COVID-19 update: 37 confirmed cases in Bryan County

There are 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bryan County, the Coastal Health District said Thursday.

There have been two deaths in the county as a result of the pandemic.

As of 12 p.m., April 23rd, there are 387 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in residents of the Coastal Health District and 11 deaths.


Cases by county:

  • Bryan: 37 cases, 2 deaths
  • Camden: 28 cases, 1 death
  • Chatham: 199 cases, 6 deaths
  • Effingham: 31 cases, 1 death
  • Glynn: 51 cases, 1 death
  • Liberty: 35 cases
  • Long: 2 cases
  • McIntosh: 4 cases

Newly-appointed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority Chairman Trip Addison kicked off the board’s first-ever meeting by telling those who attended he was “dedicated to engaging every voice in this process,” as the board moves forward on a potential general aviation airport on Rayonier-owned property off Highway 17 near Belfast Keller Road.
