With little fanfare, Bryan County Commissioners voted to adopt a rollback rate of 8.314 for all residents.
The measure will keep taxpayers from paying higher taxes on the county portion of their tax bills due to property valuations.
It was one of a handful of items on a short agenda that included a brief recess prompted by a request from Commissioner Brad Brookshire for more information on an ambulance purchase.
Commissioners were set to attend a county summer planning retreat at the Westin-Jekyll Island beginning with a dinner Wednesday night.
The retreat continues through Friday afternoon.
Among items expected to be discussed during the retreat is the Fisherman’s Co-op property on Kilkenny Creek and a five-year plan for Bryan County Emergency Services.
