County going to one meeting a month

The Bryan County Commission’s twice-monthly meeting schedule didn’t last long. Two months after going to the new schedule, commissioners voted Tuesday to do away with the second meeting, citing a lack of agenda items.
“(I’ve) had a suggestion ...  maybe we don’t need two meetings because of the slow down in planning and zoning,” Commission Chairman Jimmy Burnsed said. And commissioners agreed.
The board will still hold its second scheduled meeting this month – 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the county’s Administrative Complex in South Bryan then go back to one meeting a month.
