CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) in partnership with the Georgia Department of Public Health Coastal District is operating free COVID-19 vaccination sites throughout Bryan County for the community and anyone else who wants a vaccination.

The next vaccination site in Bryan County will be Wednesday, December 8 at Thrive Early Learning Center located at 465 Harris Trail Road in Richmond Hill. There is no legal documentation requirement.

Pre-registration is available and on-site registration is available at some sites. The organization is focused on offering COVID-19 relief services to vulnerable high-risk communities that have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, including low-income groups, communities of color, and essential workers.

In addition to providing vaccinations, CORE is looking to deepen its community reach throughout the Bryan County area to provide informational sessions to community members. CORE GA is able to work with local organizations to host town halls/webinars/informational sessions. The goal in this is to ensure accurate information is flowing throughout Bryan County and to ensure community members are able to make informed decisions regarding vaccination uptake.

“We are excited to work with community leaders, community based organizations (CBO) and businesses throughout this Coastal District to provide COVID-19 relief services, especially in community outreach. Our relief efforts in emergency response are most impactful when stakeholders of the community are activated and able to take part in our operations,” said CORE Georgia Coastal Community Mobilizer Tacinta Conner.

"Partnering with CORE has given us mobility, helping us get vaccines directly to people in Bryan County and surrounding communities," said Dr. Lawton Davis, Health Director of the Coastal Health District. "Mobile vaccination clinics are key to increasing our vaccination rates and protecting our residents. The vaccine is free, safe, and effective, and CORE is helping us make sure it's convenient and available in our communities."
