Carver student wins county spelling bee

Carver Elementary 4th grader Jon Ranieri successfully spelled 'amnesia' to win the Bryan County Schools Spelling Bee. 

Ranieri, whose father is an Army officer deployed to Iraq, edged out Richmond Hill Middle School 7th grader Kendall Thomas during Wednesday morning's spelling bee. He advances to the district competition later this month in Waycross. Thomas is the alternate.
