You’ll get your chance next month.

With contested races on both ends of the county, candidate forums for the upcoming municipal elections will be held in October in both Pembroke and Richmond Hill.

The first is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at the J. Dixie Harn Center and will include candidates for Pembroke mayor and city council. It is sponsored by the North Bryan Chamber of Commerce and Bryan County News.

Another event for candidates seeking seats on the Richmond Hill city council, begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at Love’s Seafood restaurant off Highway 17.

It is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Coastal Georgia and Bryan County News.

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring "Meet the Candidates" featuring those running for City Council.

It will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at Richmond Hill High School. Light refreshments will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public.

Residents who want to ask questions of candidates at either forum can submit them in writing to the Bryan County News by emailing jwhitten@bryancountynews.com.
