Radiance Technologies Inc. of Huntsville, Ala., has opened an office in Savannah.
This addition will initially be staffed by 25 employees, adding to the existing Radiance team currently supporting 20 offices in the United States and about 420 employees. As an employee-owned small business, Radiance provides engineering, technology development, integration, prototyping, production, and operational support for the military and intelligence communities.
“We are proud of the work Radiance is contributing to this wonderful community and look forward to growing within Savannah,” said Dr. George Clark, president of Radiance.
U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston, R-Savannah, a senior member of the U.S. House’s Defense Appropriations Committee, welcomed the company.
“Fort Stewart, Hunter and the surrounding military assets in the area are of critical and growing importance to our national interests as well as drivers of our local economy,” Kingston said. “Radiance is a fast-growing, innovative company that is adding vital engineering jobs to the community. I welcome their arrival and look forward to continuing to work with their team on important issues to the region and the country.
“When economists tell us that Fort Stewart and Hunter are job creators with an economic impact of over $2 billion each year, this is what they’re talking about.”
