Firehouse Subs announced the Dec. 18 grand opening of its first location in Richmond Hill at 9116 Ford Avenue under the ownership of entrepreneur Chad Weaver.

This is the fourth restaurant for Weaver, who signed a franchise agreement to develop three restaurants in the Savannah area and is expanding.

"I chose to join the Firehouse Subs team because I realized how truly unique their restaurants are, and I wanted to bring this hearty and flavorful food to the region," said Weaver. "The steamed subs separate us from the rest, and the brand’s dedication to public service allows guests to enjoy an amazing product, while giving back to the community. I couldn’t ask for a better place to open than Richmond Hill, or a more perfect brand to invest with and grow."

Weaver will continue Firehouse Subs’ commitment to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has donated more than $1.8 million in grants in Georgia.

The Richmond Hill Firehouse Subs is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Weaver also owns locations in Savannah and Pooler.
