The Richmond Hill/ Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. March 13 for Fia Rua Irish Pub at 10134 Ford Ave. in Ford Plaza. Refreshments and food will be available for guests.

Fia Rua Irish Pub is owned by David Goodell, a retired Army officer and Florida native who relocated to Richmond Hill in 2009. Fia Rua first opened its doors in 2011, but many changes have taken place since Goodell purchased the pub, including fine-tuning the menu to include Irish cuisine and redecorating.

Fia Rua Irish Pub is now open at 11 a.m. seven days a week and offers a lunch and dinner menu with a brunch menu available soon. Monday evenings feature Bingo, Team Trivia on Tuesdays, live music on Wednesdays and weekends, and once a month, Fia Rua conducts a charity fundraising event for local people and organizations in need.
