Ribbon cutting for new sandwhich shop set

The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will have a ribbon cutting of Richmond Hill’s newest casual dining restaurant, The Slide Shop, at 11 a.m. Aug. 3.

Everyone is welcome. Invited guests include Richmond Hill Mayor Harold Fowler.

The shop is at 10076 Ford Ave., inside the Ford Plaza Shopping Center. The ceremony will be followed by lunch service.

The Slide Shop offers a variety of flavors and proteins packed into little culinary packages known as sliders.

The location offers inside seating for up to 40 guests as well as take out service. Order take-out on site, or call 912-445-5638.

Owners Meaghan and Steve Price, have worked for years to develop a menu to appeal to a variety of tastes. The restaurant serves chicken and waffle, chicken club, fried fish, a twist on PB&J and beef favorites. Sides include fries, kale salad, even other sliders. The shop also serves soft drinks and ice cream, including hand-dipped malts and milkshakes.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and closed Sunday and Monday.
