South University in Savannah has created a program-advisory committee comprised of local communications professionals who will guide the institution’s growing public relations degree programs.
Lesley Francis, owner of Lesley Francis Public Relations in Richmond Hill, is among those who will serve on the panel.
“We think the composition of the committee will insure that a variety of perspectives are represented,” Program Director P. Wynn Norman said. “We are also excited to have attracted the support of professionals with so much experience and solid reputations in the coastal region. Each of them exemplifies the real-world, strategic public relations our students are here to learn as part of our bachelor and master of public relations degree programs.”
Francis founded an award-winning agency in London before moving to the United States in 2009. An active member of a number of community organizations and charities, Francis’ clients include local businesses as well as nonprofit organizations and community events. She also is a columnist for the Bryan County News and a feature writer for The Skinnie and Reflections Magazine.
