ATLANTA — Recruiting day for the Georgia Ports Authority scheduled for today at the Georgia Department of Labor’s Savannah Career Center has been postponed.

The center on White Bluff Road is closed. Gov. Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency because of the severe winter weather conditions and ordered all state offices to close.

The recruitment to fill several jobs in five different occupations at the GPA will be rescheduled later.

People interested in attending the recruitment should monitor the GDOL’s web site www.employgeorgia.com for upcoming information about the rescheduled recruitment.
