CenturyLink Inc. has implemented a new four-region structure within the United States and has named Kevin McCarter president of its east region
The region includes Georgia, South Carolina and Florida, in addition to 21 other states and the District of Columbia.
McCarter is responsible for field operations. He began his career with United Telephone Company of Florida in February 1988 and held positions of increasing responsibility as the company transitioned from United Telephone to Sprint, Embarq and now CenturyLink. His career has included leadership roles in network engineering, customer service and field operations.
As part of the new structure, Randy Wood has been announced as operations vice president for Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Jimmy Burke will serve as area operations manager for local service areas in Georgia and South Carolina.
“Our local operating model continues to be a competitive differentiator for our company. We remain committed to this model, which places leadership and decision making as close as possible to our customers,” McCarter said. “We look forward to serving our customers with the new structure and key leadership in place.”
