Papa Murphy’s, the take-and-bake pizza chain, recently opened its third Savannah area store in Richmond Hill at 3488 Hwy. 17 in the Shoppes at Harris Trail Shopping Center.
The official grand-opening celebration will be Thursday-Sunday. Specials will be offered during the event, and customers can enter to win free pizzas and cookie dough. The grand-prize winner will win free pizza for a year.
Bob Hoersting, the area developer for Savannah, said he is excited to bring Papa Murphy’s to Richmond Hill.
“We have gotten such a great response from customers on Wilmington Island and in Hinesville. Richmond Hill is going to love the convenience, quality and value that no other pizza chain can bring to family pizza night.”
With more than 1,300 locations poised to meet today’s fluctuating meal schedules, Papa Murphy’s is acknowledged by consumers for excellence in value, quality, variety, service and convenience. The company has been voted the “Best Pizza Chain in America” for the past seven years by consumers nationwide in the Restaurants and Institutions’ “Consumers’ Choice in Chains” survey.
A key driver of the company’s success is the connection the consumer has with the product, a Papa Murphy’s spokesperson said. Customers decide which ingredients top their pizzas and bake them in their own ovens.
The dough is prepared daily in neighborhood stores using high-protein wheat flour. Each pizza features fresh ingredients, including 100-percent all-natural, whole-milk mozzarella, cheddar and provolone cheeses. Real meat toppings, with no fillers, include Canadian bacon and premium salami, pepperoni, Italian sausage and ground beef. Other toppings, including fresh Roma tomatoes, whole mushrooms, green peppers and onions, are sliced and diced daily.
