Coastal Georgia Veterinary Care of Richmond Hill recently received accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association.
One of four veterinary clinics in the Savannah area and the only one in Richmond Hill to be accredited, the status comes after a comprehensive evaluation, which includes a quality-assessment review of the hospital’s facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management.
Coastal Georgia Veterinary Care, located at 100 Timber Trail Road, is Richmond Hill’s newest veterinary clinic. Led by former military veterinarian Dr. Karen O’Connor, the clinic offers full-service veterinary treatment.
Fifteen percent of small-animal veterinary practices in the United States are accredited  by the AAHA.
“Coastal Georgia Veterinary Care belongs to a select group of practices that are committed to meeting the standard of veterinary excellence,” AAHA President Gregg Takashima said.
