Eva Polite, owner of Granny’s Playhouse and Child Care Center in Midway, recently received a national accreditation from the National Association for Family Child Care.

Polite has been providing care in her home for seven years. She serves children 3 months to 12 years old from 6 a.m.-5 p.m., participates in the USDA adult and child food program and has lesson plans aligned to state learning standards.

“Being accredited demonstrates the highest standards above what is expected at the local and state level, and being accredited will motivate me to continue learning how to make even my best efforts better,” Polite said.

The accreditation was made possible for Polite through a grant from Child Care Resource and Referral of Southeast Georgia in Savannah.
