Annual RHBC Chamber meeting, dinner set

The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting and dinner banquet at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Richmond Hill City Center. The event will feature Bryan County Schools Superintendent Dr. Paul T. Brooksher as the keynote speaker.

Brooksher officially came to Bryan County in July 2012 from the Gwinnett County Public Schools, where he served as the director of human resource staffing. He began his career as a special education paraprofessional in 1995 in Lumpkin County. Brooksher graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business education in 1994. He went on to earn a master’s degree in special education in 1996, and doctorate in educational leadership in 2003. Both Brooksher’ s advanced degrees are from Clemson University.

Business of the Year and Ambassador of the Year awards will be presented. The chamber’s 2012 Board of Directors will be recognized and 2013 board will be introduced.

Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Tables of 10 are also available for $250 and $350 respectively. RSVP’s are required by Friday.
