On Friday, the Liberty County Development Authority (LCDA) Board of Directors announced the appointment of United Way of the Coastal Empire President and CEO Brynn Grant as LCDA’s newest Chief Executive Officer.

In her new role, the incoming Grant will help lead Liberty County's economic growth and development in the years to come.

Grant will ascend to the position on April 1st.

At a press conference held at the Liberty County Development Authority office, State Rep. Al Williams (GA-168) introduced Grant to the public.

“Brynn Grant brings to us everything we need in a CEO,” Williams said.

A native of Hinesville, Grant highlighted her deep connection to Liberty County as she spoke.

“I am incredibly honored to be appointed the next CEO of the Liberty County Development Authority in my hometown, where I was born and raised,” Grant said.

“There’s been so much progress over the years and I’m eager to work with you all now to continue that forward progression to create a more thriving Liberty County where quality jobs are plentiful, businesses flourish, and all of our neighbors experience an exceptional quality of life.”

During her four-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer of United Way of the Coastal Empire, Grant was responsible for the management and strategy of the organization with hundreds of volunteers and a staff of 34 professionals across four counties.

Grant has also worked at the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA), serving as Chief Operating Officer for seven years.

Ken Rabitsch, Chairman of the United Way of the Coastal Empire Board of Directors, said in a press release:

“Brynn’s success at United Way stems from her exceptional ability to build bridges, cultivate collaboration, and navigate complex challenges. Her departure from United Way will leave big shoes to fill, but I know Brynn will continue to profoundly impact our region in her new role.”

“Liberty County is gaining a dynamic leader, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish through her support and guidance.”
