Bryan County has announced the appointment of Alli Padgett as its new Emergency Management Director, with her first day in the office set for January 21.
A retired U.S. Air Force veteran and emergency management professional, Padgett brings 21 years of experience in national defense, crisis management, and public safety to her new role, according to a press release.
Her emergency management background includes serving as Assistant Director of Chatham County Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) starting in 2022. Prior to her tenure with CEMA, she served as Emergency Manager for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency and the Alabama Department of Public Health.

Stationed at bases worldwide, including Abilene, TX, and Little Rock, AR, Padgett gained invaluable experience in high-stakes operations.
Now stepping into her role as Bryan County’s Emergency Management Director, Padgett will oversee disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, ensuring the community is well-equipped to face natural and man-made crises.
