Bryan County officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday to celebrate the opening of the new 4,400 sq. ft. Animal Services Center in South Bryan County. The modern facility was designed to enhance animal care, expand capacity, and support the county’s long-term commitment to responsible animal services.
“This center represents a major investment in the well-being of animals in our community,” said Carter Infinger, Chairman of the Bryan County Board of Commissioners, at the ribbon cutting. “We are proud to open a facility that provides safe, modern, and humane care while expanding our capacity to serve.”
The center includes 18 indoor/outdoor dog kennels, six small-dog kennels, and two dedicated cat rooms. It also features medical exam and treatment areas, along with a dedicated quarantine space to protect the health of all animals entering the facility.
The ceremony also included remarks from Assistant County Administrator Kathryn Downs, the new Animal Services Director, Lance Decker, and building contractor Fred Foley with Fred Foley Construction LLC.
