Bryan County attorney named to bank's board of directors

Bryan County resident Michele Henderson has been elected to the Southeastern Bank Board of Directors. In

announcing Michele's election, Con Holland, president of Southeastern Bank, stated:

"Michele's extensive experience as an attorney in the coastal region and involvement in

the local business community give her a unique perspective on the Company's markets.

Our Board will greatly benefit from Michele's insight and experience."


Originally from Muscatine, Iowa, Henderson is a graduate of the University of

Georgia School of Law and has been providing legal services in Richmond Hill and the

surrounding area since 1986. She serves as the managing member of the Henderson Law

Firm, LLC, which specializes in residential real estate but also handles wills, probates

and other legal issues. Henderson is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the

Atlantic Judicial Bar Association.


In addition to her work as an attorney, Henderson is a member of the Richmond Hill

Rotary Club, which she helped found, serving as its first president. She is also a former

chairperson and director of the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce and

has been active in numerous other political, government and civic affairs.

Henderson and her husband, Toby Roberts, have seven children and seven grandchildren.

She and her husband are members of the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. In

her spare time, Henderson enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Southeastern Bank, headquartered in Darien, has offices in coastal Georgia and

north Florida. The bank will soon open new offices at Eulonia and on St. Simons Island.
