Carver Elementary student Shaine Carol Avula was honored for winning the District Spelling Bee

The Bryan County Board of Education had a meeting at the Richmond Hill Community Education Center on Thursday in which they honored athletes, a spelling bee winner and contributors to the United Way.

Richmond Hill High School coach Matt LeZotte and the football team were honored for being Region 2-AAAAAA champs and advancing to the Class AAAAAA semifinals.

Richmond Hill Middle School football coach Jamie Bennett and the football team were honored for being football Coastal Area Region Champions.

Richmond Hill High School cheer coach Kaitlin Hutchinson and the Competition Cheer Squad were honored for being named Competition Cheer Region Champions.

Richmond Hill High School cross country coach Levi Sybert and the Cross Country team were honored for being named Men’s and Women’s XC Region Champions.

Richmond Hill High school student Kayla Gohler was honored as the Women's XC State Class AAAAAA Champion
