With better weather, GOSF crowds rebound on final day

With the promise of free admission and sunny skies, a larger-than-expected crowd came out Sunday on the final day of the 21st annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival.

It may not have gone as organizers planned, but hopefully Friday night and Sunday attendance was large enough to offset losses caused by the heavy rains and wind Saturday, that resulted in thin crowds during the day and the cancellation of the headliner musical acts in the evening.

Here are a few pictures captured during that warm and clear Sunday afternoon.

Changes to US 280 and I-16 begin Friday

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) contractors will be shifting traffic into a temporary configuration on US 280/State Route (SR) 30 at the I-16 westbound roundabout. This will occur Friday, June 20, through Saturday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
