Aug 8:
Woman reports that her license plate fell off her truck while driving home along I-95 South.
Car stopped for going 74 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Driver found under the influence (alcohol).
Warrant carried out for man wanted out of Bryan County.
Man reports that he was cutting grass for the owner of a property when a brown pitbull bit his leg. The brown pitbull is owned by a tenant of the property.
Neighbors report that a man broke their windshields.
Aug 9:
Man reports that he was playing pickleball with his friend. When the game ended, his friend threw his racquet in his way, striking him in the face. The complainant lost nine teeth and subsequently went to Memorial Hospital, where doctors advised that he had lost nine teeth and had multiple fractures to his Maxilla (upper jaw bone). Emergency trauma surgery was then performed on the complainant. Complainant maintains that the incident was an accident. Complainant's mother said that they have already contacted an attorney but are unsure on whether to press charges.
Aug 10:
Man travelling on Black Creek Church Rd. on a bicycle with no headlight was stopped; license came out with warrant out of Bryan County.
Deputies respond to a residence that was flooding and a water alarm sounding. Two alarms were located in the residence's basement submerged in approximately 4 to 6 inches of water. Due to the amount of water, Bryan County Fire had to temporarily shut off power to the home.
Aug 11:
Car stopped for traveling with no headlights. The driver had a warrant for his arrest coming from Chatham County.
Hendrix Park employee reports burglary; the concession window stand was broken and items (bags of chips, sodas) were stolen. Video footage of the incident highlights four juveniles.
Aug 12:
Vehicle pulled over for no tag lights; driver did not have license.
Aug 12:
Man reports losing his vehicle tag while driving on I-10 in Mississippi; said he didn't realize his tag was missing until he returned home.
