Monday’s Baldino’s fundraiser for former Richmond Hill Fire Department Lt. Leslie Barto raised around $1,500 for the cause.

Barto was recently forced into retirement when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Baldino’s owner and part time cop Donnie Routh organized the fundraiser to help fellow Richmond Hill emergency worker with medical costs.

Baldino’s manager Christy Leegette said business was booming on Monday, with more than twice the normal business. She said many of the customers that day made it clear that they were there to help Barto.
