A Pembroke convenience shut down by authorities on Friday is again open for business, but neither store owners nor authorities are saying why it was closed in the first place.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of the Inspector General, with help from Pembroke Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, closed the Chevron Quick Stop beside City Hall in Pembroke to serve a search warrant March 27, officials said.

Attempts to learn more have been unsuccessful and Interim Pembroke Police Chief Stacy Strickland said Tuesday no additional details are available because of the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The store's owners have also declined to comment. It reopened Monday.
