Annual Miss BCHS pageant is a beauty

Lanier Primary School was the site of the annual Miss BCHS Beauty Pageant Saturday night. Age divisions ranged from Tiny Miss to Miss BCHS and all age groups were represented by beautiful young ladies that competed in both the formal and casual wear categories.

Miss BCHS contestants also had to compete in the interview competition which counted 40 points towards their overall score.

The Teeny Miss Age Division representatives were Jacey Boone - 3rd Runner Up; Ava Kangeter - High Ad Salesman, Peoples Choice Award and 2nd Runner Up; Hannah Butler - 1st Runner Up; Kaylie Brown - Winner Teeny Miss BCHS and Casual Wear winner.

The Tiny Miss Age Division representatives were Paityn Coley - 1st Runner Up; Victoria Sapp - Winner Tiny Miss BCHS, Casual Wear winner; Sarah Crapse - Peoples’ Choice Award; Kendalyn Spacek - 3rd Runner Up.

The Little Miss Age Division representatives were Logan Seger - 2nd runner up; Alyssa Grantham - 1st Runner Up; Gabrielle New - Peoples’ Choice Award; Destiny Sharp - Future Princess, Shelby Barfield - Winner Little Miss BCHS, Casual Wear Winner, Antoniqua Gaines - Future Princess and Savannah Lewandowski - Future Princess.

The Petite Miss Age Division representative were Brianna Smith - Future Princess; Paige Shuman - Winner Petite Miss BCHS, Casual Wear Winner; Alayna Atkins - 1st Runner Up; Rayce Lee - Peoples’ Choice Award; Meagan Payne - Future Princess; Kagen Nicholls - Future Princess; Madison Young - 2nd Runner Up.

The Junior Miss Age Division representatives were Jordan Elisabeth Roberson - 1st Runner Up, Peoples’ Choice; Cari McGinnis - Junior Miss BCHS, Casual Wear Winner.

The Miss BCHS Age Division representatives were Amy Meredith, Brittany Creech - 1st Runner Up; Ciara Shuman; Erica Ellington; Lyndsay Anderson; Lindsay Seger - Peoples’ Choice Award; Victoria Foss - Miss BCHS Winner, Casual Wear Winner; Meghan Shuman - Interview Competition Winner; and Jessica Holcombe - 2nd Runner Up.

The Pageant planning and decoration were handled almost completely by BCHS Booster Pageant Committee Members - Beverly Morris and Courtney Fitzgerald. The theme that ran throughout the pageant was a Tropical Island theme. The pageant was divided into two sections. The first section held the Teeny, Tiny, Little and Petite and started at 1 p.m. in the afternoon and later the Junior and Miss age divisions started at 7 p.m.

2006 Miss BCHS Contestants were present to take their final farewell march before they crowned the current winners. Those contestants in attendance were - Miss BCHS 2006 - Ashley Barfield; Junior Miss BCHS 2006 - Maggie Purcell; Little Miss BCHS 2006 - Sabrina Peoples; Tiny Miss BCHS 2006 - Kyndal Leggett; and Teeny Miss BCHS 2006 - Kelsey Leggett.

Entertainment was provided by Mrs. Iris Sims who played an Elvis melody; Southern Style Dance Troupe; Dancing Unlimited and singers Taylor Stanfield and Bradley Hoover.
