American Legion is hosting a food drive on Saturday, March 9th from 10 am to 3 pm at Henderson Park’s Shell Station in support of military families in the region.

Last food drive in November, Post 27 collected 300 pounds of food which enabled them to fill two pantries. This round, American Legion is counting on the support of the community to feed double the amount of service members and family who need support!

American Legion is collecting the following food items for their food drive:

• canned fish and lean meats, like salmon, tuna, and chicken

• peanut butter or other nut butters

• healthy soups and stews

• whole grain breakfast cereals

• canned or dried beans

• pasta sauce and canned tomatoes

• shelf-stable milk
