Legionnaire Dan Awtrey (USA, ret) presented the American Legion JE Lanier Post 27 of Richmond Hill 2023 Veterans Children $500 scholarship to Brandon Vazquez Dias. 

Brandon is the oldest son of Orlando Vazquez, (USA ret) who served for 21 years in the Army.

The Richmond Hill High School student plans to attend Savannah Technical College to pursue certification in the Airframe and Power Plant program and then continue his family’s legacy of service with the Army after graduation.
