Alleged illegal aliens busted on I-95 in RH

The following is from a press release from the RHPD:

"On Wednesday March 18 at 12:54 p.m., Richmond Hill Police Department assisted Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the apprehension of a person responsible in a human smuggling case.ICE agents working the Interstate 95 corridor observed a suspicious blue Plymouth van traveling north, displaying an Arizona registration plate.  RHPD, in coordination with ICE agents, conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle near mile marker 91.  RHPD motorcycle officer Lee Rodriguez made contact with the driver, Arturo Olivera Nolesco, and found that he did not have a driver’s license.  During the traffic stop, the officer identified eight passengers in the vehicle, all of which were Mexican nationals illegally in the United States.All persons in the van were arrested and transported to detention facilities awaiting deportation.  Interviews with the illegal immigrant’s revealed that each of them paid $2,400 to be smuggled into the United States.This case is still under investigation by the Immigration Customs Enforcement."
