Here is information sent by colleges and universities announcing academic achievements by students from Bryan County.

The following students have been named to the dean’s list at Georgia State University in Atlanta for fall 2019: Ellabell: Allen Flint, Fort Stewart: DeWayne Johnson

Richmond Hill: Armando Acosta, Faith Anderson, Jacob Catibog, Kyoungjoo Cho, Kyoungjoon Cho, Jaqueline Foley, Tiara Gandy, Sophie Giorgianni, Jackson Huston, Sara Kapheim, Andrew Kilmer, Jazlyn Martin, Sydney Masih, Makayla Nudo, Jordan Perkins, Zoe Robertson, Sarah-Lois Tanifum, Taylor Wilson, Jasmin Yi and Joshua Zoufal.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester.

The following students were named to the president’s list at Georgia State University in Atlanta for fall 2019: Fort Stewart: Kreshae Green, Pembroke: Apurv Patel. Richmond Hill: Jessica Burer, Connor Cameron, Keegan Murphy, Joshua Pecenka and Tiaras Polite.

To be eligible for the president’s list, degree- seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester.

Shawn Gray of Richmond Hill earned a Bachelor of Science degree in science, cybersecurity and information assurance from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Gallentia R. Smith of Richmond Hill was named to The University of Alabama dean’s list for fall 2019. A total of 12,050 students enrolled during the 2019 fall term at UA were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 or above.

Brandon Olson, Zachary Sewell and Dany Shwayri, all of Richmond Hill, earned the distinction of faculty honors for fall 2019 at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Lorin Alderman of Black Creek and Jacquelyn Buelow and Veronica Thompson, both of Richmond Hill, have earned the distinction of being named to the dean’s list at the Georgia Institute of Technology for fall 2019.

This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.
