Dorian 5 p.m. update from the Weather Channel

As rain has started to fall in Bryan County, we can expect tropical storm conditions to develop this evening, with full-blown conditions in the early morning hours. Here is the 5 p.m. report from the Weather Channel.

Those east of I-95 remain in a mandatory evacuation order and under a curfew between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Dorian is currently a Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 105 mph. It is moving NNW at 9 mph.

Newly-appointed Richmond Hill-Bryan County Airport Authority Chairman Trip Addison kicked off the board’s first-ever meeting by telling those who attended he was “dedicated to engaging every voice in this process,” as the board moves forward on a potential general aviation airport on Rayonier-owned property off Highway 17 near Belfast Keller Road.
